Presenting an original WWII Japanese navy canteen that has lots of character. It is untampered with, and although one of the carrying strap loops is quite worn, it is still intact and the canteen overall is still quite solid. WWII IJN canteens are getting difficult to find in this condition. In fact many of the Japanese canteens being offered in recent history are very worn, missing pieces, and generally in relic condition. There is a small wood tag with Japanese characters on it, and it appears that the same characters are on both sides of it. The canteen cover has numbers and characters that are really well done, and are unquestionably period done.
