This sale is for an original WWII 1944 dated eyebolt lifting plugs or 155 and 105mm Howitzers. My Dad, who just passed at age 98, was a forward artillery observer in the Battle of the Bulge with the Seventh Armored Division. He radioed back firing instructions to a battery of 105mm self-propelled Howitzers known as the ”Priest”.The plugs served to prevent entrance of foreign substances into the shell, and to assist with handling of the heavy shells.
