Tsugukiyo`s real name is Baba Shigetaro, in Takamatsu city, Kagawa prefecture, studied under Kurihara Akihide, Kasama Shigetsugu, made sword during WWll time and after the war asa a Gendai smith listed in John Slough`s book page 177. The blade is traditional hand forged, in old polish, no rust, no stainand in excellent condition.The temper line is wavy gunome chojitemper pattern and has deeptemper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame-hada no opening, no blister and no forging flaws at all at all. There is no bend, no crack and cutting edge issharp. The scabbardis leather covered wood scabbard, no tear, no dents, no bend andingood condition. Thehandle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cut, no looseand ingood condition. It came with blue/brown company grade tassel, no cut, no fade and in good condition.
