The only issue is the menu/memory encoder is dirty and will occasionally skip a setting or memory channel - not an issue because you just go back but I have purchased a Yaesu replacement encoder in case it bothers you.

Picture 4 shows Power switch Modification. The FT847 only used 1/2 of a double pole switch and was prone to failure. The modification just ties together both poles of the switch so that you share the power load over both avoiding a failure
