I bought this book because I needed a secondary source to write a paper for one of my history classes. My professor recomended it to me, so I decided to buy it. It is a great book that details the role of Samuel Colt and his factory as an American legend and what he did to make the company a success. The main focus of my paper was to prove that the Colt factory did not fit the sterotype of 19th century factories, which was that they were dirty, unsafe and horrible places to work. William Hosley's book proved my point and is a great reference to anyone who needs information on the Colt factory. It is well written and would make an excellent read if you are just interested in the subject.
Excellent from historic and sportsman views.
