Has nice power and It's pretty aggressive. If your looking for something to cut up a tree, plan on charging the battery a lot. I would recement for smaller limbs (4") and brushing but i did take down a 20" Ash tree with it. Handled the tree ok but the battery did not last when cutting trunk. Other than that, performs well.

The chainsaw works like a chainsaw but has some issues. The battery does not last long enough . The battery replacement I ordered cuts on and off repeatedly while you are using the chainsaw.. The replacement battery was not a greenworks battery it was a Jialitt battery so I will have to watch this battery and determine if it is safe to operate my greenworks chainsaw. The saw cuts good but the greenworks battery that was sent with the saw does not last long thats why I ordered another cheaper battery that was supposed to be compatible with my saw, " and it was supposed to last longer or have a longer run time.. The chainsaw chain loosens up fairly quiclkly while you are using it so I will have to monItitor this problem as I use the saw .. The saw does cut as good as a gas chainsaw but will not outlast a full tank of fuel and it does weigh as much if not more than a gas fueled comparable chainsawRead full review

I immediately used the saw to cut down 10 trees of various sizes. I had extra batteries because I already had a 80v leaf blower. Even though the batteries charge pretty fast having 3 for size of my job was perfect. I just put tfe expended battery on the charge and was able get 2 more full charges before I finished. The saw easily handle 14” wide trees. I always had problems with the fuel oil mix in gas powered saws. This is great to only have to deal with bar/chain oil. I recommend this saw to any home owner.

I am a 82 year old man and the ease of operating the Greenworks 80-volt chainsaw and its safety features are worth the price of the product. The fact I don't need to pull a starting rope to get it running is great. I can now climb up a tree, press a power button to activate power to the saw and start cutting once I am safely secure. This saw has all the power I need and is quiet with little vibration. I really impressed with the saw. i really
