Best CB/Ham radio antenna on the market.
You really can't beat a Wilson for high quality antennas. They have great receive and transmit (I was talking on skip to NJ from CO today like they were sitting in my car). The SWRs were at zero on one and 1 on forty without adjusting, just putting the whip in at one inch. I can't recommend this antenna any more highly. Far better than a K40 and I certainly prefer it to a whip antenna. Price was right too.

The magnet mount came without 1 set screw and no end connector that goes into CB ! Wouil only recommed it if it came with all parts needed !!
Would not have been able to use it without finding parts needed to connect to CB and set screw to hold whip tightly in place.

Wonderful CB antenna
I am getting back into CB radio after thirty years ago. Back then I had a Cobra radio with a K-40 antenna and I really enjoyed it until someone else liked it better than me! Fast forward I purchased a new Cobra radio and was looking at the K-30 when a friend said go with the Wilson 1000, this is going on a 4Runner and and a 62” whip will be way to high. I did order the Wilson Short Load antenna and actually used the radio today. Setting the SWR was actually very easy, I live in Gilbert AZ and I couldn’t believe how much skip was going on!! Long story short the Wilson 1000 along with the Wilson Short Load antenna worked wonderful!! The antenna was easy to install with just enough coax, the smaller coax end was GREAT getting it through some spaces. The quality appears solid! The price was good! I highly recommend the Wilson 1000 antenna and shipping was fast!Read full review

This Antenna is of high quality, the range is amazing. Excellent magnet, which I checked last weekend at 80 mph on route 95 (New York and New Jersey). I talked and listened to strong signals all over the trip. Got a second one and definitely will get more for my friends. This antenna rocks !!!

Exceeded my expectations.
I've been CB'ing since the mid 60's (Remember the Johnson Messenger?). I've used dozens of different car antennas over the years, and also with big rigs, since I was an OTR trucker for 30 years. Wilson has always been a trusted name with me though I've tried others from time to time. I always seem to come back to a Wilson. I have a Wilson cell phone signal extender that also works as advertised. When it came time to get a new antenna for my current p/u I chose this Wilson because it had a much longer "stinger" and to me, that means better reception and better transmission. I tuned it up and hit the road with our RV behind my truck. The antenna performed flawlessly and I tested it several times by 'breaking' for some of my old brothers (OTR drivers) going the other way. The magnet in the base could probably be used to pick up my truck . . . Yup, glad I opted for the bigger bucks and got this antenna. The pics just show how it's mounted on my p/u.Read full review
