Hi I've used other sergers and this model and brand is very easy to use . Threading this serger is much easier than other sergers . The way it opens you ha direct view of the Loopers they are not hidden . This machine is compact but metal !!!!! I was surprised that it had so many metal parts where others use plastic. As soon as It was threaded it worked right away . All of the tension dial are easy to use and adjust . I'm very happy with this machine .

After reading reviews, I was afraid I made a mistake purchasing this machine. It was brand new and never used. I have owned three 5 thread Elna's in the past (905, 925, 945) and knew this wouldn't be as smooth, but for what I need it for it far surpassed my expectations. It is surprisingly quiet and for an inexpensive alternative to the high end machines, it runs pretty smooth. It breezes thru upholstery fabric which is what I bought it for. It finishes edges very nicely.

I needed a free arm for my same model. There were none to be found. Purchasing this same model gives me the option of repairing or using for parts to keep mine running. Thank you

Fine machine, works great. Straight forward operation. Makes solid stitches. I've read less favorable reviews, but those probably have to do with not understanding or mastering the tension or threading instructions. It took a bit of practice and trial and error, but once the tension and threading are in place, the machine is super.
Works like I thought it would.
