Did a lot of research before my purchase. There is always the question of " a better used sax or a brand new one of not so high quality". The thought of buying a used one and having to deal with tune-ups and repairs to get it to play right is what made me decide on a new one. After all, i am not a professional saxophone player so the Etude EAS 100 sounds great to me. I am glad that i made the right choice for me.

This Sax is a used sax that was refurbished, and not done correctly. My son just start lessons for this summer. The instructor will get an estimate on how much $$ it will cost to fix it. If it’s an easy & cheap fix, then I’m fine w/ it. But it could cost an addtl $100 or so.

Easy blowing beginner's sax. Depth of sound is fine for a beginner's horn. Intonation was fine, and ergonomics good. It is fairly light-weight, so probably good for a younger student getting started. However, the sax is well made and should hold up fairly well provided the student isn't too rough with it or is careless and drops it. Played right out of the box without need for adjustment.
