I bought this product just to make swells easier. In terms of this effect, there are very few like it. In terms of money, while the others were well over $100 (which I think isn't really worth it for this effect), this pedal was only $30 and is a copy of the Boss Slow Gear (well over $100 competitor). It definitely gets the job done. Unlike many Behringers, the buffer is good and sounds natural, and the effect is easy to adjust. Even though it's plastic, it's definitely sturdy enough for a gig. The only thing I didn't like was stupid on my part: you have to separate the notes you play. The pedal doesn't work really well string notes together, though it can make a good effect. My advice is to have a delay or reverb pedal before getting this one. Without one of them, the pedal will just sound weird. The delay/reverb adds depth and ambience, and lets the notes sound like they're ringing out while the originals fade away and you start a new note.Read full review
this is a cool pedal .. use a power source ..not the batteries.. pain in the arse to change em .. just plug it in an go... works fine ..sounds good .. best with a overdrive or other distortion/ muff type effect added.. also found that the compressor helps to trim the sound .. all in all ..great pedal
The SM200 is one of the pedals of our guitar arsenal. Love the sound, alone, and accompanying with the other pedal sound on our sound board. My grandkifs and Obare learning together, about complex sounds made with different combinations of sound pedals. I, myself is getting back into playing the guitar and my grandkids are starting also. It is a very good learning curve for the three if us. Weel worth the price and very good quality product.
Great pedal for the money.
