While it is a little loud, it works well and makes good treats. The only negative for me was that most of the recipes were for alcoholic drinks, not just slushies and snow cones, but it was not hard to figure out the ratio of syrup to use. If you're getting it to make frozen marguaritas you're in luck. If you're a mom or dad (or just an old fogey like me) who want frozen treats for the kids or oneself to enjoy, I find the ratio of syrup to ice for slushies to be about 4oz. of syrup (I used Torani) to one filling of the ice bin which makes 8 to 10oz. of slushie. For a snow cone, one ounce is a good place to start.

It creates large chunks of ice but nothing of snow cone or margarita quality. I remember a snoopy hand crank snow cone maker that worked faster and more efficiently in 1/3rd of the time. Looks great but that's it. Btw I gifted this as a birthday present when my friend was going through a hard time and could have used a quality drink both settings had the same result.

Love the color and it is so easy to use. It made a perfect Pina Colada. Can't wait to try other slushy drinks.

It is horrible. It went back after 1 time. It doesn't get anything like a slushie. Its only chopped ice with hard pieces. You go through a ton of ice. It's so noisy. It's just nothing like they say it is. And you need to pay 12 plus to return it on top of the money you spent for it.😠
