It is a excellent little amplifier that is lightweight and easy to mount. The negative aspects of the amplifier is if you want to mount the amplifier in your vehicle, you have to mount it upside down and the switches are also backwards and upside down. The electrical connections are also too short too.

This thing is a bang for the buck. i recently got one and so did a friend of mine and we each talk skip everyday with n issue. just pushing about 100 watts on am and 140 on ssb. works just fine.

I have had older amps of the same model and they last a long time if you don't overload the input with too many watts. If you set your deadkey down to only about 2 to 3 watts, you will get 20 to 30 watts out RMS not just alot of PEP. every watt more than that is more ineffective so why overdrive it just to burn it out? Great amp!

This was my second having blown the finals in the first. My mistake - be careful with the input! 1 to 5 watts is ample for 20 to 100W output.
