Antique Duff Barrett 15 Ton Railroad / House Jack:
Offered in this sale is a very early 15 Ton house / railroad jack, signed Duff - Barrett. Measures approximately 22" high when completely down, and the base measures 11" by 6 1/2". The top is signed Genuine Duff Barrett, the side reads No. 1A - Patented April 27, the year appears to be 1926 or similar (a bit difficult to discern.) Also reads X-2828 - Trip, as welll as Duff Mfg. Co., Pittsburgh, PA U.S.A. - 15 Tons. This has some surface rust but if desired it can be cleaned off with a wire brush and this can be painted or lightly oiled. We chose to leave it as found so you can decide what, if anything, you might want to do with the finish. We will be glad to ship this via UPS but please be aware that the package will weigh close to 65 pounds. Without packaging, this weighs over60 pounds. If it is going to be shipped, we will add 10.00 for materials because we will probably have to crate it. We also welcome pickup. We are conveniently located in Pleasant Valley, NY 12569, minutes from the Taconic State Parkway and about 1 1/2 hours north of New York City, the same distance south of Albany, NY, and close to the Connecticut and Massachusetts borders. Thanks for looking and good luck!
