Start, run and tune your engine before installing it into your car. I am a muscle car hobbyest, and like most, I have limited garage space for storing large equipment. I designed this engine start/test stand so that I could be sure my rebuilt engines were ready to run before installing into my newly restored cars. When I first looked around for starter stands, I couldn\'t find anything inexpensive or collapsible. With some tube steel, a drilland a welder (you must be able to weld), you can build one of these in a weekend.
This stand collapses to less than 9\" deep to be stored against a wall or in a corner out of the way. It can be adapted to fit most V8engines (I\'verun my Ford Cleveland engine shown in the picture and also my 454 Chevelle engine on it). The wheels are designed to extend out on each side for a wider base for higher torqueing engines.
This sale is for a complete set of plans to build this engine stand. This sale is for plans only - no materials, parts or engines included. I have priced this item low as I am more interested in supporting the home auto enthusiast than in making a lot of money (but a little extra money isn\'t a bad thing).

I can only testify that I have built and used this stand to start and run my Ford and Chevy V8 engines without any problems.
