An example of the 'Apple' Vase is in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, PA (clear glass).A lush, vibrant green delicately diffuses from the thin neck, or 'stem', down through the round body of this exquisite handblown 'Apple' vase in green by Ingeborg Lundin for Orrefors Glass Factory, Sweden. Overall good condition. There are light surface scratches on the bottom of the vase, comensurate with age. There are also a few very, very light surface scratches thatdon't detract from appearance or value. I am happy to provide more photos, and I try to be accurate in description. The 5th and 6th pictures show very light surface scratches on the bottom, the 7th pic shows a surface bubble as part of the original production manufacture, and the 8th pic is just below the neck.Swedish glass designer Ingeborg Lundin (1921-1992) became the first female designer for the renowned Swedish glass design house Orrefors in 1947, creating the 'Apple' vase for Orrefors in 1957. This model is one of the best known mid-century scandanavian pieces of glass. This particular example is the correct candy-apple color and is a superb version.
It is approximately 16" tall by 14" diameter.
This example is signed/etched on bottom:It also retains the original paper label as shown in the picture #3.

Just for clarification, on the second line of the signature, the "?" designation is because the actual mark is a little hard to read.
