tomato plant will not fruit

hello,
I have a beefsteak tomato plant indoors in a deep water setup running under a sun blaze t5 40000 lumens light 6300k bulbs running on a 12 hour cycle. The plant has lots of blossoms but can not get them to fruit. I have tried the following 1. shaking the plant 2. flicking the blossoms, oscillating fan for 30 mins. at a time. Any suggestions ?

Thanks Shaun

Hey Fire! Do you know the humidity? I've had a problem before with humidity and pollination. I expect though if you've run a fan on them for 30 minutes, it would take care of that though. I know that the yellow/red spectrum of light (2700K HPS) helps increase fruiting and/or flowering. I don't know if it aids setting of fruit or just flowering though... Hopefully someone else more experienced will help. As a newbie, I'll stick with my humidity and color temperature ideas.

hey junior,

I don't know what the humidity is but we maintain house temp around 67 degrees. there are 3 green pepper plants next to the tomato plant in a separate container that I have been able to hand pollinate and have peppers that are growing well

thanks shaun

I have finally gotten one tomato out of about 20 + blossoms.

Well it's hard to tell much of anything from that one sideways picture. But my first thoughts still are that your lighting is inadequate. However their may be other issues as well, just cant see much to tell anything from the picture.

I'd try a electric tooth brush, I just rub my tooth brush on the backside of the flower, until what I think is pollen comes out in a white dust, works well for me at least
