four foot two tube flourescent

Ron, I want to grow two tomato plants in my basement. I have limited lighting down there. Would a four foot two tube flourescent with grow bulbs do the trick? If not what is the most inexpensive way I can grow a couple plants? Thanks Sorbo

No florescence's are a waist of time and energy. I would buy a 175 W to a 250 W Metal Halide or a Low Pressure Sodium street light. You have to shop around but they are out their. I bought a LPS light for my yard at a flea market for 8 bucks.
