My ford focus (2006 Sedan) with a trailer hitch goes a long way :P I am able to tow 2k with it legaly lol.. I have only gotten up to about 1500(total with trailer) so far and it did well on a 24 hour drive across country.
I do have the upgraded 2.3L engine so I am around 200 HP, but if I took off the power restrictions (dual cat converters and slow flow intake) I would have too much power and would never be able to drive in the rain. I have trouble with it keeping traction in the rain as is and I have traid probably every tire that fits on the car to try to find one that works in the rain lol.
