Any thoughts on using UV lights as a form of disease control? I know that it's used effectively to sterilize drinking water. I just read a reference to it being used in hydroponics to control diseases that can be a problem to the roots. Though I cant see it being any better than Hydrogen Peroxide because I'm sure the UV light would kill beneficial microbes just the same as the hydrogen peroxide would. The only difference would be you don't need to replace it like Hydrogen Peroxide and the UV light only takes a few minuets to be effective costing not much at all. On the other hand, it doesn't bring any Oxygen to the to the table either.

Any Thoughts?
