Default system used in conjunction with a fish farm

I'm new to this, and have great interest in this system as I'm a disabled Vet. and have 1/2 acre behind my home I could play with.

My question, can this system be used in conjunction with a fish farm, using no chemicals, just the water/waste product from the fish, and recycling the system?

Rick

Yes but you can only grow low nutrient plants like lettuce and basil. The problem with an Aquaponics system is that plants like a pH under 6.0 and fish like it over 8.0 so you have to compromise with a pH of 7.0 That way you can piss off both of them.

I will be showing soon on how to build a small low cost aquaponics system that members can experiment with.
