Default can silicone sealant be toxic to plants?

Hey, Ron. Wonderful site. Question: can silicone sealant be toxic to plants? I'm setting up a bubbler and want to seal a gap between a net pot and a contoured plastic lid. The silicone ideally will not come into direct contact with the plant or the water, but you never know. Thanks for your help.

Silicone is used in fish tanks so it's can't be harmful to plants unless your plants have breasts then their might be a problem.
