Default can I let the pump run continuously?

I am using a 50/50 mix of pea gravel and perlite as a medium in a six plant drip system. I am using well ventilated 16 ounce containers. I am dripping at a rate of about 1 gallon per hour per plant. At this rate how often should I cycle the pump, or better yet can I let it run continuously? Also, the system is laid out in a one foot by two foot six pack arrangement. I am using two 33 watt gro and show flouescent lights. Is this enough light for my "herb" garden? Thanx JP

I would water every 30 minutes or so. If you sit it next to a sunny window then it might enough light.
