Default How much fluorescent lighting would I need?

I want to put a small grow area in one of our small rooms. There is one window 24" X 36" facing the west. I plan to put a white twin sheet over the window, and over my grow area which would be 48" X 28" supported by a PVC frame.

How much fluorescent lighting would I need?

Thanks in advance for your help pastorlloy

A lot. You would have to line the hole room with fluorescents to get any growing benefit and then the cost to run them all would be way more than if you bought a 175 or 250 watt metal halide.
