Default simple hydro tomatoes

I want to grow one plant hydroponically. Please give me advice on starting. Cheap lights that will give the lumens these plants need to produce quality fruit. Been told these plants need 40,000 lumens. Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks

Is it really worth growing Tomatoes under lights? Anyway I would use a 250 watt hps (high pressure sodium), I think they are about 30,000 lumens and 400 watt about 50,000 lumens. The general rule is metal halide for growth and HPS for flowering and fruiting, but if I was picking just one I would go with HPS. I personally wouldn't grow vegies under lights until led technology gets better, a 90 watt LED setup is the equivalent to a 400 watt HPS/metal halide. Browse the cannabis forums as they are more into lights and hydroponics in general than us veggy growers ( i.e forum.grasscity.com )
