Default explain PPM

Could you explain PPM. I do understand that it is parts per million but the meter that I am Using
reads from 6 up to 40. What is the comparison.

Conductance is expressed as a "Mho." Since such conductivity is small, it is expressed as
"milliMhos/cm," a measurement of conductivity through one cubic centimeter of solution. The desired
range is generally 2.0 to 4.0, depending on the stage of plant growth and vigor. This is from
