Default Multiple plants in one system

Ron,

First off, thanks a ton for this website and answering all the questions. I am planning on building your 11 plant garden soon and am trying to decide what types of plants I want to have. Would it be a bad idea to mix a bunch of different types of plants in the 11 spots? The ones I am considering are tomatoes, strawberries, bell peppers, green beans, and romaine lettuce but am flexible with those. If it could work, is there anything I should be careful of?

I guess another option would be to do two smaller systems, maybe 6 plants each. I could probably get the under the same light I would use for the 11 plant garden but be able to have them on different watering systems.

Thanks again for your advice.

-Rob
