Question Turface

Hi all, I made an 11 bottle system a few years ago for some peppers, it did great. I used pea gravel, perelite and peat moss. This time I am thinking of using Turface (sport field dressing $15 50lb bag)) and perelite. Anyone ever use this stuff?

Not sure what Turface is, do you have a link to the product?

Thanks for the link, but to be honest I cant say I could recommend using it. Keep in mind that I have never tried it either. Although I have too many doubts of it's suitability. I wasn't able to find out exactly what it was composed of for one thing, so I have no way of telling if it was free of any nutrients. Also it looks as though it's a clay based material, clay is just fine ground soil. Soil has nutrients in it. Also I kept reading that it was a soil additive, that leads me to think it has nutrients in it. Lastly I have no way of knowing if it was pH neutral or not. if it was not then you would be fighting pH problems all the time.

I am no expert, but I personally cant recommend using it. Although if you wanted to try it, I would start with just using it for a couple of plants. See how they do before trying it on plants I really wanted. That's the best advice I personally can give.
