how often do I add another teaspoon?

I have just recently purchased one of your four plant systems. This is my first system and i have a few questions. I am growing cabbage. 1.I read on the info provided with the system that I should add a teaspoon per gallon but how often do I add another teaspoon? 2.How often should I set the timer to activate the pump.

When ever you need to add water to your system add one teaspoon of fertilizer also.
