Hi guys, thought it was about time for an update on my outdoor ebb and flow hydroponic heirloom tomato garden.

Looks like nice size tomato's, but what's the brown spot on the bottom of some of them?

Default Brown Spots

Not sure what you call it, but they are typical with heirloom tomatoes.

I don't really have spots like that, definitely not that big when I grow hybrid varieties like early girl, better boy, etc. It's not BER or any other disease, it's just the bottom of the mater'.

Not very tasty and also very leather-tough. I always cut that part off/out when eating them.
