Default problem gluing the fittings?

Hello, I am trying to build a 16 plant garden. What is the best way to glue the fittings? My problem is following the glue directions per turning a quarter of a turn while pressing on the fitting. Thank You Hydroschmoe

Forget that. Just glue the inside of the fitting and cram the pipe on. I use a hard leather hammer to whack the PVC fittings if they don't go on strait. You got about 1 second to get it strait or you are going to have one funny looking garden. You can use a white rubber mallet from an auto store if you can't find a leather one. A black rubber mallet leaves marks.
