can you tell me about growing poppies?

ron,heres a real head scratcher: what can you tell me about growing poppies? specifically- i was wondering what the light requirements are for vegetative growth then flowering later on. im hoping their gonna be in step with tomatoes. i have separate gardens for each plant type- but they share the same 400wt hps. thanks, op
