Question vinyl/plastic rain gutters

we have a restore in town that has used building supplies
I was wondering if the plastic/vinyl rain gutters will work ok for a drip system
instead of PVC pipe

looking at different ways to do it on the cheap

I want to make sure that the nutrient wont react with the vinyl

Doc.

Vinyl is a great product to use in hydroponics, the vinyl rain gutters have been used to build many, many, many hydroponic systems. Even the 1/2 inch tubing (both black, and blue tubing) sold by hydroponic shops are vinyl. The only concern with using the used materials though, is as always make sure you scrub it clean real well, then completely sanitize it before you use it.
