Hi, First off I have to say that this is the most informational and helpfull hydroponic site I have found. I based most of my research for building my own setup off of this site. I had an idea about getting moisture to my roots and have it be extrememly oxygen rich by using the discharge of a small humidifier that would spray mist nutrient solution directly onto dangling roots. Would this work? Also, how do I go about posting my own pictures on this site. Thanks Again, Big Pepper Paul

Good Afternoon I am new to Hydroponics. I am building a hybrid Aeroponics/NFS. Can I use compost tea made from worm castings/stinging nettle (as I have been told the nettles are a rich source of nitgron, and it is a common weed where I live) as direct feeding solution? If this won’t work, please let me know of another solution. Thank you. Robert Barfield Minot ND uthke@ndak.net

Yes, it is obviously a potential risk for our world. People could be smuggling drugs in the underground. Where there could be hydroponics in the sewers. Of course we need police to patrol the sewers in order to reduce the drug distribution throughout big cities. --X I am the best! 1331

I just transplanted a Grand Nane banana plant (1 ft.tall) to my 5 gal. constant drip hydroponic system, Im using a 8" net pot with 4" rockwool and grow rocks and was wondering if this size is big enough and if the holes in the net pot are also big enough for the roots to get through? can anybody tell me a good nutrient recipe for this system and plant? I also heard that epsom salts was not good for banana plants, is this true?......Thanks, Bob

Ron, I converted a shower stall into a grow room. Believe it or not, it's only 24 cu. ft. total, and does very well. I'm trying to inject CO2 to bring the environment to 1500 PPM with CO2. According to my caluculations, 0.3 cf. / dosage should bring the environment to 1500 ppm (leak-down accounted for via installed exhaust fan). My concern is this - My CO2 injection system won't regulate below .2 cf./hr. I tried to save some money by using a digital timer, that does not regulate below 1 minute intervals (saves $100 bucks), but now, I'm confused by how long I need to dose the system for. Can you help me with the math on this? I'm going to use a digital timer (with 1 minute minimum intervals), and am trying to figure out how long (to achieve 1500 PPM) to dose the buds for. We know that 2000 PPM can be toxic for some plants. If I regulate the gas for the minimum flow of 0.2 cfh, (the minimum allowed by the reguator), how long would I need to expose it to gain 1500 PPM? Clearly, there's a trade off in the time of exposure as compared to the volume of exposure in PPMs. Please let me know your thoughts on this. BTB, Great site. You rock! Novaman - Virginia
