Cucumber help
Hey All,
Im growing cucumber plants out of an aerogarden. It wasnt out of choice but a guest of mine put some seeds in there and i've just continued to let them grow ever since. Ive been getting a mix of issues with both plants where the tops seem ok and are flowering but the bottoms are doing pretty bad. Which would lead me to believe its a nutrient issue. the problem is, no matter what i try it continues to spread one leaf at a time. (slowly) As for nutrients I've been giving them a 4-3-6 solution though i have made the purchase of this in hopes that it would help (havent used it yet). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Apologies I dont know much lingo because usually i just pot things in soil and they grow lol OVERALL VIDEO Last edited by cookieavenue; 09-01-2016 at 11:55 AM. |

Perhaps you can reduce the strength of you nutrient solution. It seems that you are getting a little burn. Better to be a little under than full strength sometimes. If you have one, use a EC or PPM meter to find out what your solution actually is and then adjust from there.

Did you pollinate your cucumbers?
I am growing cucumbers for the first time and I saw a video saying they will shrivel unless you pollinate them. Find a male flower with no cucumber behind it, pluck it and peel back the leaves and touch the center to the center of a female blossom with cucumber behind it. If you don't do this they will shrivel. I know there are a type of cucumber seeds that do not have to be pollinated. But I am a newbie so don't know much else that what I was on youtube.
