George Brett hit .390, One of the Best Replay Years

I present for your pleasure the 1980 Strat-O-Matic Baseball Season Replay Disk. One of the most fun seasons to do a replay. Who can forget the Houston Astros taking the eventual World Champion Phillies to the brink in every one of the 5 games of the NL playoffs. In fact, the speedy Astros had to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in a sudden death Western Division showdown tie breaker. Or George Brett\'s Home Run off of Goose Gossage to put the Royals into the World Series something that had eluded them for 5 years. The World Series was a classic barn burner and any baseball fan worth his salt will remember Tug McGraw throwing his hands in the air after striking out the last Royals batter to claim World Series victory. This is the year George Brett made his magical run at hitting .400 ending the year at a sky high .390, a feat never since approached.

Also this is the year of Indians rookie sensation Joe Charboneau probably the first rookie to have a popular song named after him. Additionally this was the year of \"Billy Ball\". Billy Martin had been fired by Yankees owner George Stienbrenner and lured into managing the Oakland A\'s. Using an unusual \"Iron Man\" rotation. Martin had 5 pitchers pitch a combined total of 1,257 innings with little to no help from the bullpen. This unusual approach combined with Rickey Henderson\'s 100 stolen bases took the A\'s from last place to pennant contenders. In the NL Ron LeFlore stole 97 bases and combined with Rodney Scott to steal over 160 for the Expos.

Please note this is for the cards only (20 man teams) and does not includes game charts, pieces or parts. Cards are in overall excellent or better condition.
