Up for sale is a new, dipole antenna for the30 /40 meter band. The antenna is designed with portable operations, emergency operations, permanentor any application requiring a lightweight but strong single band antenna. This half wave dipole is built using my new designedeconomy antenna center insulator ( SO-239 version )The insulator is available in a separate sale for home brewers who want to build the antenna on their own. The wire elements are # 16 stranded copper.The end insulators are dog bone nylon type.The combination of wire and cable clamps permit a reliable, tight cable retention and at the same time, makes adjusting the ends of the elements for minimum SWR at the band segment desired or with different antenna configurations ( inverted vee, horizontal, \" L \" shape, etc, very easy in the field. The cable clamps are not crimped, it is up to the user to decide on crimping if the antenna is always deployed in the same configuration or is going to be installed permanently. The dipole weighs less than 20 ounces

The antenna is supplied with34 feet of wire on each side. For approximate quarter wave element lengths use the formula 234 /F( MHz ) and always adjust your elements equally on each side. The antenna can be supported with twine, nylon, poly rope or even fishing line.
