This is a 1992 Schwinn Paramount PDG Series 5 (NOT a Waterford Paramount). The frame was built in Japan of highquality Tangetubing and useshidden top tube cableguides. It has a 53cm seat tube (measured center-to-center, or CTC) and 55cmtop tube (also CTC).It’s an excellent size for a male or female rider 5\'4\" to 5\'6\"tall. Although the frame was inexcellent mechanical condition, the paint was not in good shape, soI had it stripped down to the bare steel and powder coated in \'Latte\' Beige\' by LenMcCreary at Figure Finishing LLC, one of the country’s premier (and award winning)cycle powder coating firms. The decals are reproductions from Velocals, but they are not original style PDG decals.
Then I installed a very nice ShimanoTiagra 18 speed drivetrain (9 speeds in the back,2 up front, front derailleur is Sora) plus a new chain, new Vittoria Zaffiro 700 X 23 tires, new tubes, new stainless steel brake and derailleur cables, a new adjustable seat post, new Deore headset, new polishedstem, Sakae handlebars, new Schwinnsaddle, newSchwinn SISand Jagwire cable housing, and new bar wrap. The wheels are Shimano hubs newly laced to classic Araya rims with new Sapim double butted spokes. You can see from the pictures that the components are in exceptional condition.Basically, everything that wears out on a 26-year old bike has been replaced. As a result it rides like new, and in person it\'s absolutely stunning. Check out the pictures to confirmthe outstanding condition of each component. This is a gorgeous bike and an excellent choice for the discerning rider who’slooking for a truly special ride- you\'ll never see anotherParamount PDG in this coloron the road! The price represents only the cost of theparts & materials used and is farless than you\'d pay for a similar quality bike in a store. That\'s because my hobby is restoring & refurbishing vintage bicycles. They\'re done slowly and one at a time until they\'re right, and afterthoroughtesting, each is sold for the price of the frame I start out with and the parts & refinishing needed to bring it up to my standards. I\'m retired, so this isn\'t something I do for a living. My satisfaction comes from getting another amazing bicycle back on the road and in the hands of an appreciative new owner.
I ship only to thecontinental USA and the bike will be appropriately packaged and padded. Someassembly will be required. Foreign buyers are welcome but must utilize ’sGlobal Shipping Program.
