This sale is for a HIRES CERAMIC ROOT BEER SYRUP DISPENSER with PUMP.This was found in my mother’s house who has had to leave her house for care. Iam in the process of clearing out her house, and I am not an antique expert.The pump seems to be in working order, but I cannot be sure. Has some brownglaze buildup which I have not tried to remove for fear of damaging something.Will leave the cleaning up to the buyer. The dispenser seems to be in very goodshape, but has 2 chips on the rim which can be seen in the photo. On the baseof the Dispenser in Gold lettering it says \"PATENT APPLIED FOR, LOANED ANDTHE PROPERTY OF THE CHARLES R. HIRES COMPANY, PHILADELPHIA U.S.A.\" in gold lettering. At the bottom of the pump it reads “ PAT. DEC14.1920. My mother is 84yrs.old and has kept everythingthat has been in the family and has an overwhelming amount of unique items. As I stated I am a novice with antiques, and thoughtI would give e-bay a try. If all goes well, look for other items on e-bay thatI will try and sell. After doing research,hopefully the starting offer is reasonable. I will answer any questions youmay have.
