EARLY RARE 1942 FRED BEAR KILLED WHITETAIL DEER PHOTOGRAPH vintage archery bow:
$3000.00

This is a HISTORICAL PHOTOGRAPH OF THE GREAT FRED BEAR. It is old, original, authentic and one-of-a-kind. It was taken November 13, 1942. In his trademark felt Borsalino hat Fred Bear poses with his famous \"Friday the 13th\" white-tailed deer (sometimes called the \"Snow Buck\") and drawn longbow. This very deer pictured here was the first big game animal Fred Bear ever killed on film! .... 4 years before he shot his first bear. This great image would also date 1 year before his first takedown bow, 5 years before he moved his archery plant to Grayling, Michigan and 12 years before his 1st recurve bow. This revealing photograph is an EARLY ONE, nearly 73 years old, impossible to find AND NEVER SEEN BEFORE NOW. A Fred Bear item of this age & rarity seldom comes to market. Please take advantage, offer and carpe diem. I read on the internet where a Fred Bear researcher in 2011 located a total of only 13 pictures of Fred Bear with all his deer. He located these images from books, magazines and the internet. Only six of those featured him with his longbow. This is not one of those the researcher found. Here is your chance to own a PIECE OF HISTORY. The real artifact. Not some reproduction or copy. Would make a super truely unique gift for the primitive archer or an heirloom for the hunting family. Fred Bear was the greatest and most legendary bowhunter of all time. Despite hunting all types of big game around the world he still regarded Bowhunting The White-tailed Deer as the ultimate pursuit. The world famous Fred Bear Collection may be seen in the Archery Hall of Fame & Museum at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri. In the 8th sale image above are two additional photos which were found alongside in the same estate sale in central Michigan ...... they are included. Ships in shown protective shadow box --- within a shipping box, packed well and fully insured to the best offer. How does someone put a price on something like this? Priceless to many. Thanks. Added 9/5/2015 : Thanks to the many of those whom contacted me to inform me that \"Fred Bear was left-handed\". From what I can gather ..... an interesting point in \"Bows on the Little Delta\" by Glen St. Charles was that he and Fred Bear were switch shooters and could shoot right or left handed instinctively. Mr. Glen St. Charles was the founder of the Pope & Young Club, a noted bowyer, author and lecturer, and bowhunter for more than 70 years. He was a good friend of Fred Bear and shared many campfires bowhunting in BC. Again, Fred Bear was posing for a picture, not shooting at a target or game animal. The bow is not fully drawn. Please also refer down at the questions section. Thanks.
