Lot of 3 Seahshells from an Estate sale in NYC. They are over 40 years old (judging from the 1964 NY Times newspaper they were rolled in). Also included is a beautiful hard cover book on the history of shells. What a great gift this entire lot would make for a collector or enthusiast. I really had a hard time deciding to part with these!
This lot includes.....

• One Triton shell measuring 15 inches long x 6 inches wide. Others on are selling for $100+ each. Apparently 15 inches is very rare and desirable.
• One Conch shell measuring 9 inches long x 6 inches wide. It has the small slit in back which I am told is how the fishermen get the conch creature out of the shell to eat it.
• One mystery shell measuring 8 inches long. I am not an expert so although I do recognize this shell I have no idea what the proper name is.
• One hardcover book called \"Spirals From The Sea.\" 192 pages.
