Scarce Ca.1960\'s Monteleone Cruiser Corsair Toy Outboard Boat Outboard Motor : $44.99
I purchased this Italian made boat about 35 years ago at a flea market, as part of my personal toy boat collection. I am moving and have to downsize the collection. It appears it has never been played with, but there was a windshield and apparently one seat that were gone when I purchased it. It is complete with the original box which is all there but somewhat beat up. It is marked as being 50 centimeters long and I found mention of it being 1:18 scale. It measures about 20 1/2 inches long including the motors. I installed 4 D batteries in the remote unit and both outboards run fine and sound pretty powerful. There is a long length of wire from the remote, that goes into the bottom of the boat and then to the motors. Each button runs one motor when depressed. So, pressing both buttons runs both motors to go straight. Letting up on one or the other button, stops one motor and turns the boat. I found it interesting that the motors are counter rotating just like a real pair of boat engines designed to be used in pairs. Despite not having ever been exposed to sunlight while I have owned it, I\'m sure it has yellowed some over the years. Thanks for looking and offerding.
