Fresh from an estate sale is this vintage Railroad Signal crossing bell.
It is manufactured by Western Cullen Hayes Chicago Illinois.
It is the No. 333 Crossing Bell.
How we all have special memories of those lazy summer days listening to this wonderful sound.
The black bar above the cylinders is what strikes the alarm bell.You can do this manually.
It also has been wired with the obvious wires in my photo to hook up to a 12 V battery to continually run. This works with prior owner, but I have not bought my own 12 volt battery yet.

This is a very large heavy bell as I have placed a canned good in the picture for comparison. It is in good condition with original surface and only slight discoloration on the front of the bell.The number on the top of the bell says WC120SCA I think, I am not sure.
There is one bolt which attaches it when it close it, you could add an extra one.This is a wonderful collectible which is harder and harder to come by this one came out of the California Sierra there are fewerand fewer of these even left in this good condition.
This unique very cool Bill measures 15 inches By 16 inches and 8\" in thickness.Weighs about 29 pounds.
