Offered for sale is an US WWII U C USM1 Garand Bayonet with Scabbard. I think this doubled as a fighting knife also
The OVERALL LENGTH of the scabbard and bayonet MEASURES APPROX.16 \" LONG.
THE BLADE LENGTH MEASURES APPROX. 10 \" LONG..
HANDLES ARE NICE AND TIGHT WITH NO DAMAGE.
TheSCABBARD is MARKED US ( flaming bomb) The scabbard has been repaired sometime --quite possibly in the field during the war. VERY VERY oldstring around the scabbard in 2 places with some black glue substance too. See Pictures. The scabbard remains quite solid --fairly easy to replace if you need to.
THE BAYONET CATCH RELEASE BUTTON ISIN WORKING ORDER.
The blade has been sharpened while in the field it appears. Normal light sharpening marks as seen in the pictures.
