Here is a pair of Victorian Bronze Jesus bookend statues. Each statue measures 7 1/4 ins. tall. They are about 1 1/2 -2 pounds in weight and are marked on their rim of their base J.B. That stands for the American company Jennings Brothers , founded in the 1890s.Both statues are in good as is vintage condition with the finish appearing to be the \'Ormolu Gold\' plate finish over bronze. A magnet does not stick to the metal. The pair has some wear to the finish, marks from handling over the last 100+ years but no breaks.I would date these to the 1890-1900 time period.Perfect for Victorian,Italian,Catholic,Edwardian, Gothic,and late 1800s to early 1900s decors.
