THIS IS MY NEWEST BUNNY \"FRITZI\" AND SHE IS 9\" TALL NOT COUNTING HER EARS. SHE IS A OOAK CREATION MADE BY MYSELF.

*FRITZI IS MADE OUT OF A SEMI SPARSE MOHAIR IN A MUTED BLUE/TEAL COLOR WITH A BUTTERY BACKING.

*GERMAN GLASS EYES WITH EYE WHITES.

*HAND STITCHED AROUND THE NOSE AREA. SHADED NOSE.

*FULLY JOINTED USING LOCK/NUTS BOLTS AND DISCS. ARMATURES IN HER ARMS.

*WIRED EARS.

*FILLED WITH POLY/FILL PELLETS, BB\'S AND COATED GLASS BEADS.

*METICULOUSLY TRIMMED AND SHADED AROUND HER FACE AND PAW PADS.

*HAND MADE ROMPERS AND NECK PIECE.

I have been designing and making bears for the past twenty six years and am always working towards something new and different. I love to watch each creation come to life as I work on each piece. I have traveled to many bear shows and conventions and met many wonderful people through the years. I am a self taught artist, I design and create each piece by herself. Most of the creations are one-of-a-kind, or very low editions.

Each design is made with quality materials using mohair and alpaca furs, and every once in a while I find that special vintage coat or wrap that makes a very special TEDDY !!!

German glass eyes are used in most cases and some are hand painted to give that special look to that one of a kind creation. I have also used old shoe buttons for eyes from time to time for that vintage look. Each piece is fully jointed and some have armatures in the arms and legs for pose ability. I use poly/fill, pellets, BB’s and coated glass beads to fill the bodies. The noses and mouths are hand stitched using perle cotton or floss.

In 2008 I was nominated for the Toby Award sponsored by Teddy Bear and Friends for my Dixie Bear.

She won the award !!!

In 2008, Dixie Bear was awarded the Golden Teddy Award for 2008 put on by Teddy Bear Review Magazine.

I have entered and won other awards and am always very humbled with such an honor.
