•STEUERPIMPEL --This steuerpimpel has a closed endjust as with the original, allowing for more surface contact on the main lever action plate. It is slightly cushioned, but firm, not soft and spongy. The pad surface has a gentle curve to the edge so that it can glide smoothly and grip when it needs to.Each one is hand made, shaped and ground individually, with one closed end.Once installed and functioning, they \"seat in\" and become part of the complete glide-clutch-friction system which operates the turntable. Fits Dual and PE turntables which use them, primarily made in the 1970s well into the 1980s.Check service manual to be sure, or make a visual confirmation (usually called \"guide\" in most translations. Either one can wear, but after many years the lower one usually disintegrates, and .... as customer Alex inRussiasaid, \"turns to dirt,\" affecting smooth arm operation for start and end-play/return. Often they just disappear. I don\'t recommend changing the topside pimpel (guide) by the tonearm gimbel, but if that pimpel is missing or damaged let me know.It is ok for the purchaser to have two units for the underside so that you\'ll have an extra to choose from thereby making it an easier repair; and it is good to have a spare which can then be secured to the inside of the base unit.

•SINGLE-MULTI LIFTER 216-845 REPLACEMENT SLEEVE– For models 1219, 1229, 1229Q, 1249. Available with purchase of service guide or one or more steuerpimpels.The old part dries out and won’t flex, making the Single-Multi Shift Lever inoperable – or it causes other malfunctions.Under certain conditions applying force to the Shift Lever with a bad ring in place can break the entire lift mechanism which then requires replacement of the complete tonearm. This durable, Tygon part resists decay and is cut straight with smooth edges, something that is difficult to do using a home-cut piece of hose.Use lithium grease underneath it for ease of operation. Lifter Rings and ball bearings ship with combined S&H ($3.58) with basic Steuerpimpel order.
