About the Restoration Process:
All keys are removed from the clarinet body. Eachsection of the clarinet is cleaned (bore, tone holes, and post holes). Keys are polished on a high speed buffer to remove all residue and tarnish. The wood upper and lower joints, barrel and bell are treated with multiple applications of bore oil inside and out. All old pads, key corks and tenon corks are removed and keys are placed into an Ultrasonic Cleaner to remove any buffing compound and other debris. Springs are re-tensioned and any weak or broken springs are replaced. New professional quality double bladder pads, key and tenon cork are installed and the keys are assembled to the clarinet body. The keys, pads, and cork are adjusted to properly seat and seal. The pads are then floated for a perfect fit and left to set for at least 24 hours. The clarinet then under goes a series of blow tests until it is optimally adjusted. I have played and repaired clarinets for over 40 years and feel that most repair technicians cannot match this level of restoration. I test all clarinets with professional level repertoire to ensure an instrument is of the highest quality.
Although I do not take returns, I will always refund payment if a clarinet does not perform as stated (notify me within 3 daysofdelivery ). I simple cannot send inventory for try outs as shipping and insurance become way too expensive.
