You will read this in all of my sales and I am sorry. I have come to a point that financially I need to sell some of my favorite items. I will be doing this over the next several weeks. Some of these items are in good condition and some are rough. What makes them favorites of mine and hopefully yours is the history of them. This sale is for a 1782 Carolus III Spanish silver 2 reales silver coin. This coin I would say is in pretty fair condition for being over 200 years old. The outline of the head is very easy to see. The wording is clear. The last numeral on the year is a little wore, I think it is a 2, but might be a 0. The obverse is even a little better than the head side. The shield crown and shield very good definition. One of the pillars have a smooth spot on it. Most of the wording is easy to read. There is a nick in the edge which is often seen. I am starting this sale at the lowest possible price that I can take for this. I won\'t lie, you may be able to find this coin in this condition cheaper. If you do I think you would be wise to buy it. These coins will always be desirable because of the history they have seen. The coins probably have sailed the seas. There is even a good chance that some of these fell into the hands of pirates. Maybe not but, collectors like me hang on to them because of the romance. The shiny pristine ones didn\'t get out to play. I don\'t want my customer to buy if they have reservations, but if you do, and you don\'t like what you receive, please contact me.
