1800s Black Forest Germany Cuckoo Clock Wooden Frame Hand Glass Painted PROJECT. Has nice gold leaf paint at bottom of dial. Stencil numbers on the dial. Has the spring coil for chimes where the hammer hits on the hour. Cuckoo style.
This is old and all probably from mid to late 1800s. Bought out a clock makers German Black Forest parts and clock collection his father worked on before him. Need to sell them all. More to come.
Clock longest measurement is 17 1/2 inches long X 14 inches X 6 1/4 inches deep.
Condition:Very old. Wood is ruff, the frame is slightly warped and the paint is chipping. Thea paint job in the glass is better but also showing age. The gears move but some rust and oxidation showing. Th pendulum is probably not original with noticeableuse and discoloration. The metal outer frame around the brass pendulum is bent. The cast iron weightsneither are the acorn style and some rust. Bell does not strike as the metal needs bent into place to strike. The hands are not tight and needs fixed.THIS IS A PROJECT!
