An original antique, circa 1870\'s blue decorated stoneware batter pitcher which was made and marked by the pottery of Evan R (or Evan B its hard to make out) Jones / Pittston Pa.. The batter pail has a cobalt blue flower of the front along with blue accents on both ears and at the base of the spout. The wire and wood handle is the original one and is in very nice condition. The batter pail is in excellent condition free of any repairs or restoration. The only thing keeping it from being called essentially perfect is a hard to see hairline to the top of one of the ears. A wonderful piece of 19th century blue decorated stoneware which is completely fresh to the market from a old local estate.
